Homeless Care Kits

With the cold and rainy season upon us and the holidays rapidly approaching I took a day to put together some care packages for the homeless. Rather than feeling the pressure of giving money when not knowing where it may go, this is a great alternative to be armed to caring for those in need—

“Feed the hungry, and help those in trouble. Then your light will shine out from the darkness, and the darkness around you will be as bright as noon.” Isaiah 58:10

Homeless Care Kits

When shopping for the kits, I thought about the necessities (hygiene, hunger, and warmth)…

*Body Wash
*Mini First-Aid Kits
*Trail Mix
*Stocking Cap
*Granola Bars
*Trail Mix
*Word of Encouragement

1. Purchase the above items at your local Dollars Store or Wal-Mart
2. Fill freezer bags with the items
3. Write a Word of Encouragement and/or Verse
4. You can either take them to a local shelter or keep them in your car to be ready for when the time arises that you pass a person in need of one

  1. I did this last year and wrote about it on another blog too! I love seeing people take the time to do things like this.
